This will be the first year for high school students to participate in Diamond Challenge Moldova (DCM), which is currently present in the United States and Kenya. The purpose of DCM is to present the Lean Startup Methodology and the Business Model Canvas to high school students in order to compete for thousands of dollars in cash prizes towards starting a business. Throughout Moldova, high school students will be asked to create a start-up business idea using these two models in English. In January, the high school students will be assessed by a panel of experienced and diverse judges in Chișinau, Moldova. The winning team in Moldova will be given the opportunity to present in the United States for the global grand prize of $7,500 USD!
The mission of Diamond Challenge Moldova is to empower high school students across Moldova to refine their entrepreneurial skills in order to become the nation’s next wave of business leaders in the near future.
